In-Depth Safety Tips
Meet in Public Places
Always arrange to meet in busy, well-lit public locations — malls, banks, police stations, or busy cafes. Never invite strangers to your home or go to theirs, especially at night.
Inspect Before Paying
Carefully examine the item first. Test electronics (on the spot), check for damage, verify serial numbers, and confirm it matches the ad. Don't let the seller rush you.
Never Send Money in Advance
Avoid deposits, delivery fees, or "reservation" payments before you've physically seen and inspected the item. This is the #1 scam tactic. No legitimate seller will insist on this.
Keep Chats In-App
Use SellersDotNG chat instead of giving out your personal WhatsApp immediately. Our chat records conversations in case you need to report an issue.
Check the Seller First
Look for the ✔ Verified badge on profiles. Read their reviews. Check how long they've been on SellersDotNG. Trust your gut — if something feels off, walk away.
Report Suspicious Activity
