Bank Transfer vs Cash vs Escrow: What to Choose in Nigeria

Each method has trade-offs. Choose based on amount and trust level.

For Small Amounts (Under ₦20,000)

Pay on inspection. Cash is fine if you are meeting in person.

For Medium Amounts (₦20,000 - ₦200,000)

Bank transfer at a bank branch or public place. Get a receipt.

For Large Amounts (Over ₦200,000)

Escrow or pay-on-inspection at the bank. Never pay in cash.

For Long-Distance Purchases

Escrow only. If the seller refuses escrow, walk away.
